Kat Marlow

Kat Marlow founded Positive Change to help people find their true path in life through counselling, coaching and mental health services.

Kat has been involved in coaching and counselling for over 10 years and has a wide range of associated experience. She has also volunteered for Samaritans of Leicester and works for a local voluntary sector charity providing counselling to survivors of childhood sexual abuse.

Kat currently accepts referrals from the following EAPs and Insurers: The Red Poppy Company, PTSD Resolution, BEN, Aviva and Vitality Health. Direct company referrals can be arranged on request.

Education

Kat is qualified in the Human Givens Counselling approach and a graduate member of the Human Givens Institute, which is Professional Standards Agency accredited.

She has also completed accredited training in Integrative counselling with the University of Leicester and undertaken further training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. Kat is committed to ongoing personal and professional development in order to ensure that she provides the best service to her clients.

Samaritans Vounteer

Kat has trained and worked as a Samaritans Volunteer and is experienced in providing support to a wide range of individuals suffering emotional distress, experiencing mental health problems, and suicidal feelings via phone, email, text and face to face conversations.

Coaching and Mentoring

Kat has more than 10 years of experience providing coaching in both corporate and private environments, working with a range of clients and variety of needs.

Positive Change is a counselling and coaching practice developed by Kat Marlow to help people achieve a brighter future with a positive state of mind.

Kat is highly qualified and experienced in a range of coaching and counselling techniques that can be tailored to meet the diverse requirements of emotional distress and personal difficulties. Additionally over a decade of experience in coaching enables her to support you as you find your way to a new way of being.

The philosophy of Positive Change is rooted in four fundamental steps.

  • CHANGE: Change circumstances and behaviours to make goals a reality.

Kat is a fully registered member of the Human Givens Institute and committed to abiding by the ethical and professional standards that are a requirement of that membership.

She will always seek to provide the highest possible standard of care to her clients.  Should you find that you have concerns regarding her practice that you feel unable to practice directly with her, or feel that your concerns have not been responded to appropriately, the Human Givens Institute registration board provides a formal complaints procedure. Counselling Space

The Positive Change work space is a purpose built property, designed and constructed especially to create a calm place for you to come and engage.

Here, you can put aside the pressures of daily life and feel the peace of our quiet surroundings without distractions of the outside world.

The retreat provides a safe space for you to explore your problems without fear of interruptions and a creative environment to generate alternative, positive and healthy ways of being.
